I moved to Sado 15 years ago and enjoy living on Sado with my wife and 5 year old daughter. My lifestyle is to work as the owner of the guesthouse Hanaya in the spring and summer, and to brew sake at a sake brewery on Sado Island in the fall and winter.　 From an immigrant's point of view, I hope to show you the charms of Sado that you won't find in guidebooks, and hope that you will relax and feel at home for a long time. Guesthouse Hanaya is a private guesthouse in a former ryokan (traditional Japanese inn), located just off Ogi Port. Please relax on tatami mats, just as they were in the Showa period Hana-ya has easy access to Sado sightseeing spots such as Tarai-bune, Shukunegi area, Sobama Beach, and Tatakokan, and is also suitable for groups with private rooms for different numbers of people. There are also many old private house cafes in the vicinity, so please use our rooms for a relaxing stay on Sado Island. Free Wi-Fi, shared showers, and a shared kitchen are available. The 60-mat hall with a stage can also be used for events. It takes 1 hour by car from Ryotsu Port. You can sleep on a futon by yourself. Please use it for a long stay or a work vacation. Guesthouse Hanaya is located in Ogi-machi, a town with many tourist attractions. You can wander around the old streets where many old private house cafes are located. 10 minutes drive to the Shukunegi district, where traditional buildings line the streets. 10 minutes drive to "Tatakokan" where you can experience Japanese drumming. Supermarkets, grocery stores, liquor stores, and vending machines are located nearby. Although the hotel only has showers, there are bathing facilities such as Kamome-so and Ogi no Yu within a 1 km radius.
