[Rent a whole house] This is a 76-year-old Japanese-style house where you can experience life as it was in the old days. It is built with a traditional Japanese roof shape, a gabled roof that is often seen in castles, shrines, and temples, and many wooden crafts from that time are still left inside the house. The magnificent Shinto altar is also very impressive. You can spend a relaxing time on the terrace while looking out at Kata Bay in front of you. There have been no major renovations, so you can feel the old-fashioned Japanese lifestyle, but it is by no means a convenient life. There are many steps in the house. The toilet and bath are in a separate building (there is a roof). We hope that you will enjoy the fact that this old-fashioned lifestyle remains today, and that it has not changed from the past, and that you can feel the comfort of an inconvenient life. There are two bedrooms (8 tatami mat Japanese-style room with a tokonoma + 6 tatami mat Japanese-style room) You are free to bring food and drinks. There are no supermarkets nearby, so we recommend that you do your shopping in advance. For those who wish to eat out, there are restaurants in Owase City to the north and Kumano City to the south, located a 20-minute drive away. Canned beer is available for a fee.

・Due to the age of the building, reservations are only accepted for guests aged 12 and over. ・All rooms are Japanese-style rooms, so pets are not allowed. ・Smoking is not permitted in the rooms. Smoking is permitted on the terrace. ・The building is located at the top of 30 steps. As the building is old, there are stairs inside the building as well. Please be careful if you are not confident in your legs. ・Many insects appear in the warm season. To repel insects, we spray mint oil in the rooms before cleaning, but insects are attracted to the lights at night. Please be careful if you are afraid of insects. ・There is a room reserved for staff only. We have stockpiled emergency supplies in preparation for disasters. Masunoya is located on high ground, so it is thought to be less susceptible to tsunami damage. For that reason, we plan to use it as an evacuation site in the event of a disaster.
