Kumano Kodo Nagano Guesthouse is located in the mountain area near Shiomi -Toge on the Kumano Kodo Nakahechi route. The house have renovated with the 100 years old farmer's house and opened it in 2018. The house is surrounded by Plum & Mandarin Orange Orchards which are the local popular products for many years. We highly recommend you reach the house before sunset as you can enjoy the beautiful view from the mountain if it's a nice weather ! You can have a zabuton (= sitting cushion) on the Tatami floor and a relaxing time in this old Japanese style house ! Please feel free to ask a free shuttle from/to Takijiri Oji and Kii-Tanabe station. We hope you can enjoy this unique traditional house as well as us !!
The owners come from Hong Kong. We love the nature, mountain, riversand the beautiful beach in this area. We have growing some vegetables in the small farm in front of the house. We like driving, fishing and walking on the Kumano Kodo when we have a time.
Apart from the Kumano Kodo, there are also many kind of Onsen (Shirahama, Yunomine and Kawayu) you can enjoy for relaxing!! If you have more time, you should visit the Shirarahama beach and the Adventure World, we promise you would have an another special experience !!
