1 Our guesthouse is a house licensed for up to 10 persons to stay. So if you come in big group, then the charge per person averages down.
2 Our guesthouse is very quiet and conveniently located. You can get to nearly all famous places by bus and train, avoiding heavy traffic. For example, Shijo-Kawaramachi is 4 minutes by the Hankyu train. From there you can walk to Nishiki Market, Gion area and go to Kiyomizu temple enjoying walking through the preservation District of Old houses.
3 We offer luggage-keeping before check-in and late check-in only when guests inform us of your arrival time. We will contact you and please reply to our contact. Please notice that if guests come early or late without previous information, our staff might be out or busy cleaning, and we might not notice the door charm or phone calls.
4 We offer free Japanese rice. You can cook with our electric rice cooker here.
5 We request our guests to keep quiet at night in this neighborhood to make sure our neighbors are not disturbed at night.
I speak English. So far I have had quite sufficient communication with my guests. I have the Japanese national licence of English tour guide, so I try to offer travel and access information to my guests during their stays. I opened my guesthouse, because I hoped to meet people and hope that I can be helpful a bit for guests to get around and best enjoy their time in Kyoto. I have been enjoying meeting my guests.
When you make a reservation with us, I will contact you, and request to be informed of your arrival time at least 3 days prior to your arrival day. Please reply to my contact so that I can be sure I am in touch with you and can send you more information about check-in.
My first email will be sent within a couple of days after your reservation to ensure that my guests can get here without problem. The transportation tips to come here from Kyoto station includes a Japanese route direction for taxi drivers, in case you use a taxi to come here. Please keep the email at hand and reply to me for further contacts.
Our guesthouse is located within 5 minutes' walk from the intersections of both Shijo-Horikawa and Sijo-Omiya. Near them are bus stops that most buses in Kyoto come, and will take you in all directions to most places you wish to go.
And Keifuku ( Ran Den) Railway and Hankyu Railway stations are in 6 minute walk from our guesthouse, too.
Keifuku ( Ran Den) takes you directly to Arashiyama on its one- car train. The fare is 220 yen/adult, one way.
Hankyu Railway takes you to Kawaramachi, the busiest place in Kyoto, in 4 minutes, and also to Osaka. The fare to go to Kawaramachi is one way 150 yen/adult. Make use of the combination of buses and trains so that you can travel efficiently.
Hankyu train also takes you directly to the center of Osaka 'Osaka Umeda'.
Our quiet neighborhood won't annoy you with sounds and lights of traffic at night. Many 24 hours convenience stores and restaurants, and supermarkets, banks, drugstores, coffee shops are nearby.
