The inn was established in the autumn of 1949, and is now 75 years old. The great thing about Japanese inns is that the garden, which is one of the largest or second largest in Kyoto, dates back to the Kamakura period. The main building was a merchant's house from the Edo period that was renovated into an inn in 1949, and each room was equipped with a toilet and bath. It is a wooden building built in 1788, so it cannot be denied that it has an old feel, but we have polished this 236-year-old building to a beautiful finish and are ready to welcome you. The room types are completely different from hotels, with a variety of shapes, so we are confident that this is an inn that you can enjoy visiting again and again. Even if you cannot see the large garden from your room, guests are free to stroll through the garden, so please enjoy it. It has been designed so that some kind of flower will bloom all year round.

The family room I redecorated the home of the one of the three major business magnates "Daikokuya Saburoubei Sugiura soldier of the Imperial Guard" of Kyoto of the Edo era into a hotel. There is a ridge pole written as "May 6, 1788 laying the roof" in the Edo era in the second-floor garret. The beam which a ridge pole written as "chief mourner Saburobei Sugiura soldier of the Imperial Guard" who placed an order for the building elsewhere, the name of the leader of the carpenter were written exists. This does not show it in crime prevention. By one smashed the thing that seven storehouses formed a line and was redecorated in the guest room. Therefore the form of all rooms is different. As each is big, and the room is large, it is an unhurried room more widely than the normal area measured by the number of tatami. There is a stone lantern engraved the date of 1435 into in the courtyard, and a garden understands 580 years with the thing which passed. I redecorate the old building, and the inside makes the room comfortable to live in. It is in a town of Kyoto, but as the courtyard is the place where I received it for 100m from a road, it is quiet at all, and small birds come well.

The outskirts of Nissho-besso is towns of Kyoto, but are the first downtown. The traffic terminal arrives soon in bus, train, subway and several minutes, too. You see a door of new Kyogoku on foot from the entrance. You can go to Kyoto Imperial Palace on foot. It is the Honnouji temple, the Rokkakudo temple to be the nearest. It is in the place that it is easy to use as a base of the sightseeing. There is the purchase in the middle among Shijo-dori, Kawaramachi Street, the Karasuma Street. The Gion festival is the form that the Hoko goes round led by Nissho-besso. You see TV in a lobby and can go without loss to a favorite Hoko. The Aoi Festival goes along the nearby Oike Street. In addition, You can enjoy the times festival enough in the same way through Oike Street even if there is not an admission ticket.

Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities.
