Welcome to our traditional Japanese home! Enjoy the tatami floors, paper sliding doors, and beautiful woodwork of our guestroom. and if you like, step into our serene garden, which overlooks picturesque rice fields and offers a glimpse of the Japanese alps that are just a short car ride away. Experience true tranquility and Japanese charm. Note that this is a private house, with one single guestroom, you will be the only guest, since we live here we will be present in our own section of the house, the bathroom is shared with us ONLY. If you come by bus have dinner before coming or there will be nothing around here. Please also note we DO NOT offer washing machine use NOR allow hand washing and hanging clothes in the room, there is a coin laundry shop 5 driving minutes down the road, the bus stops there as well.
Welcome everyone! I'm Elia a former chef from Italy, my wife and i moved to Japan few years ago and after renewing this house we decided to open our doors to travellers that wants to experience something different from the usual hotel room. We love nature trekking and growing vegetables in our garden. Elia can speak japanese but is still working to get better!
Located at the intersection of rice fields and the outskirts of Matsumoto, our home is just a few minutes' drive from the highway exit. There is a bus stop near our house that goes to Matsumoto bus station, and Oniwa Station on the Kamikochi line is a 20-minute walk away. You can enjoy a walk in the fields and admire the view of the Alps, particularly beautiful at sunset. About a 30-minute drive from our home, you can reach the parking lots for the mountain trekking trails that lead to Chougatake, Jounendake, Yakedake, and even Yarigatake. We can help you plan your visit to Kamikochi Natural Park or your trekking routes. by bus taxi or with our shuttle service you can comfortably reach matsumoto center in 15/20 min depending on traffic
