Unsui is an extended-stay accommodation with a kitchen, located in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, just 60 minutes by car from Fukuoka Airport and a 10-minute walk from Takeo Onsen Station on the Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen line. While the property does not have its own onsen, the famous Takeo Onsen Motoyu is only a minute's walk away. Takeo offers convenient access to several destinations such as Nagasaki, Sasebo, Arita, Imari, Ureshino, Karatsu, Hasami, and Hakata, all within an hour by car or train. Rather than rushing through a busy itinerary, why not stay longer and explore the surrounding areas at a relaxed pace? Unlike crowded tourist spots, Takeo provides a peaceful, authentic Japanese experience. The guest rooms feature a refined traditional sukiya-style design, utilizing natural materials such as jūraku walls, bamboo, cedar bark, and softly beveled white wood. These traditional Japanese elements create a serene atmosphere. If you’ve had enough of cramped hotel rooms, why not experience the comfort of a spacious tatami room? The soft light filtering through the shoji screens makes it a perfect setting for a digital detox. After enjoying a soak in the local hot springs, you can either savor local gourmet food or prepare your own meals using fresh ingredients from the region, served on beautiful Arita and Imari porcelain. We have just moved here because we love travelling, hot springs, libraries and tableware. Everything here in Takeo! We have travelled to 37 countries and have just started living in Saga, the ninth prefecture in Japan. Travelling enriches your life.
