We are a boutique guesthouse in beautiful countryside Cambodia offering socially responsible holidays and meaningful travel.​ Located just 2 km from downtown Kampot and nestled amongst the rice fields at the base of the Domrei Mountains, we are conveniently tucked away off the road to Veal Pouch Waterfall, in a peaceful and secluded location. Baksaei ("bahk-sigh") means bird in Khmer, and you will hear plenty of birdsong around our stunning 3,000 square metre property.​​​ Set out over a large ricefield, our brand new 84 square metre Pool Villas sleep up to four people each. They have two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Relax on the balcony for sunset, or chill by the pool while enjoying the silence and beautiful setting.​​​​ The Host is available to answer questions and make recommendations. Our unique property occupies a secluded, private location with stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding farmlands and Domrei Mountains and our rice garden is seasonal but ever-green; we conduct bi-annual rice harvest around December and June. Just minutes to the friendly area known as "International Village", we offer everything you need for slow-travel and digital nomads. Nearby there's a great choice of bars, restaurants, pools, book/coffee shop, mini-mart, a day spa, and yoga facilities. Only minutes from town at the base of the mountains, rent a moto or bicycle and explore the nearby waterfalls or take a thrilling ride up Bokor Mountain.

Choose a book while you drink your morning coffee at "The Clinic". Grab your groceries at the mini-mart. There are various bars, restaurants, and pools to relax in, or just have a massage and chill in a hammock. Our friendly community, a mixture of Khmer locals and expats, will welcome you with a warm heart and big smile. It's easy and affordable to get around by tuk tuk using Passapp or Grab, or rent a moto or bicycle and explore Kampot for yourself!
