Centrally located just 350m away from Diyatalawa Railway Station, 150m away from main bus road and 1km away from Diyatalawa town, it provides easy access to Ella, Haputale, Nuwara Eliya and World’s End. Family room and the triple room in the upper floor have en suite bathrooms and private balconies with a very nice mountain view. There is a common living area also with a balcony in the upper floor. Double room in the ground floor also has an en suite bathroom. It has a garden view from the window. Our 40 perch (1,012 sq. meters) landscaped garden has fruit trees, flowers, sun loungers, garden chairs and garden swing. Guests can cook their own food in the kitchen or the caretakers can cook delicious Sri Lankan food for them if guests buy or pay for provisions that are needed. Also, we can get down food for guests from nearby restaurants or guests can have their food from several restaurants in Diyatalawa town which is only 1km aaway. There are several very good restaurants in Haputale town which is 7km away. Guests are welcome to use many varieties of fresh vegetables from our organic vegetable plot. Guests have access to 55" HD TV, kitchen, living area and dining area in the ground floor, and living area and main balcony in the upper floor. They also have access to the landscaped garden. Electric room heaters can be provided on request at an extra cost. Electric iron, electric kettle and hair dryer can be provided on request. Guests can also use the washing machine. Black tea can be provided any time, free of charge. Free wifi is also available. The property is served by in-house, full-time caretakers. Ample, secure and free parking is available inside the bungalow premises.

I am a retired chartered electrical engineer who worked for national electric utility companies in Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia as a Power Systems Planning Engineer. I have also worked as an academic for the Open University of Sri Lanka as its Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Technolgy and Acting Vice Chancellor. I am available at the bungalow most of the time as I prefer the cool and dry climate in Diyatalawa to hot and humid climate in Colombo where my permanent residence is located. I am contactable any time, even when I am in Colombo. I love walking along a beautiful stretch of road located 5 minute walk away from our bungalow. I walk 2.5km up towards Haputale side and 2.5km down back to the bungalow every morning as for my daily exercise. My favourite pastime is karaoke singing. I enjoy hosting because that gives me an opportunity to meet different types of people and make new friends.

Our bungalow is located in a very calm and quiet neighbourhood in Diyatalawa. Yet, it provides easy access to other places of interest such as Haputale, Ella and Nuwara Eliya as the distance to Diyatalawa Railway Station is 350m, main bus road is just 150m away and Diyatalawa town is 1km away. Our bungalow is 5 minute walk away from three kilometers of road which is one of the most beautiful stretches of thoroughfare that one can encounter in Sri Lanka. It is flanked on either side by a continuous forest of Caribbean Pinus on one side, and on the other, Australian Eucalyptus. These majestically tall trees planted nearly 50 years ago on the deep slopes and rolling hills give the area a peaceful, quiet, sublime and tranquil environment. This is a popular walking stretch among visitors. Adisham Bungalow, Lipton's Seat, and Prabhawa Mountain Day View Point are some of the popular places of interest located in Haputale, which is 7km away. Also, there are several very good restaurants in Haputale.
