Over the years, it has grown into a beloved family-run guesthouse, known for its warm hospitality and authentic island charm. Today, Neela’s is featured in travel guides and recommended by international travel companies, welcoming guests from around the world to experience the beauty of southwest Sri Lanka.

Neela’s Beach Inn is ideally located in the heart of Hikkaduwa, a lively coastal town known for its golden beaches, coral reefs, and laid-back island charm. Guests love being just steps from the beach, perfect for swimming, surfing, or simply relaxing by the ocean. The neighbourhood offers a wide range of local attractions and experiences: Sunday Market: with fresh fruits, vegetables, and traditional sweet snacks. Fish Market: just 2 km away, for a taste of daily local life. Roadside shops: selling clothing, fabrics, handmade wooden crafts, gems, and jewelry. Turtle Hatchery: only a 10-minute drive. Temples: several nearby for cultural visits. Nearby cultural sites: Galle Fort UNESCO World Heritage Site (16 km) and Ambalangoda Mask Museum (18 km).
