Rent a furnished cottage right on a quiet beach at the east cost of Sri Lanka. The garden is sandy with a number of grown up palm trees. The house is furnished with cold water, electricity, kitchen with cutlery, gas cooker, electric kettle, electric fans, refrigerator, paved parking area and paths, right on the beach in the Komari village, in proximity to the most eastern point of the island at Sangamankanda Lighthouse. Located right at the most eastern beaches of Sri Lanka in a fishing village of Komari at the Vanniyasingam road. You will enjoy the breath taking sunrises and bathing in the rough sea near the windsurfers well known Arugam Bay. The Komari village (komari or kumari means princess) is located near the larger Pottuvil town in the Ampara district of the Eastern Province. Komari is located about 350 km from the Colombo airport or 220 km from Kandy. Besides infinite walks on the lonely beaches, you can enjoy trips to the Urani or Komari lagoons, visit the most eastern point of Sri Lanka at the Sangamankanda Lighthouse, enjoy the boat safari at the Urani lagoon to watch the mangrove trees, water birds, crocodiles, and wild elephants. You may also want to visit the Kumana national park, or, if you like more metropolitan beach life, the well known Arugam Bay.
