Our Guest House and the Dutch Fort is unique it is a must to visit Galle Fort. It has places to worship for all 4 religions and the residence inside Galle Fort are mixed with one another living side by side in communal harmony. The Fort is with few streets as you enter from two Fort Gates there are streets named by the Portuguese, Dutch & British names. Each street is different to another. There are two major schools the boy's school is knwon as the All Saints College and the girs school is Southland College. Both these schools are originally Christian Schools run by the Catholic Church and now it is run by the Government Education Department. There is a pre school and the children inside and outside Fort start their education with the mixture of all 4 religions. There are three major banks namely Bank of Ceylon, Commercial Bank & Peoples Bank also there are three ATM mechines inside the Fort also a Post Office. all these places mentioned are in the visinity of 5 to 10 minutes walking distance from our guest house Rampart View. There is also a wide range of shops to do shopping in each street in Galle Fort and to meet people from different nationalties who speak different languages
