Have a beach as your front yard! Our place is created with love and passion for nature and everything that surrounds us. It is a perfect place for those who love peace & nature. We are located in a quiet area of Arugam Bay with only a 10 minutes beach walk to the famous Main Point Surf break and 15 minutes walk to the famous sunset and elephant watch spot called Crocodile Rock. With us, you can enjoy the sunrise from your bed, feel at home, and cuddle our 10 doggos which are a part of our family. We believe in simplicity. Our place is inspired by mother earth and decorated with the colors that give you a homey feeling filled with coziness and warmth. We are more than a hotel. We are a place where you can feel at home, talk to us about Sri Lankan culture, nature around, surfing, dogs, and much more. Each room has a king-size bed, work desk, private bathroom, and a terrace with a sitting area & hammock. Swing in the hammock to the rhythm of the waves and sip the morning coffee while watching the ocean Additionally, our guests can access all the common areas such as the living room and kitchen. We have a parking lot that can fit one car and a few scooters.

We are a mixed european and local couple that loves dogs, surfing and traveling. With us, you can embrace your journey with a salty breeze. Our place is all about finding yourself, feeling good about who you are, who you are becoming. We can be a perfect place for you to embrace your journey to self-acceptance and love. Long walks on the beach, starry nights, and the sound of the ocean can become your everyday natural meditation. We hosted a wide range of guests from writers, digital nomads, surfers, artists, yogis, and travelers from all around the world. All of them became a family to us. Salty Alchemy is being run as an independent place. Please note that we do not have a front desk and your booking has to be done at least one day before arrival. We have a key box where we can leave you the key for the self-check in. We recommend you book your spot in advance as we are a petit hotel and we are running out of rooms pretty quickly. Please note that we have 10 dogs at the property therefore it's available only for dog lovers and we do not accept families with small kids ❤️

Elephants passing by the rice fields, monkeys jumping around, crocodiles chilling in the rivers, deers & boars living their best lives, leopards hiding in the jungles, and much more! We are surrounded by ancient Hindu and Buddhist temples hidden in the jungles, beaches, and hills. It’s a pleasure for us to share all these surroundings with you and show you a bit of our everyday life. We are one of few places open all year round as we genuinely fell in love with the Arugam Bay area and do not follow the seasonal migration as most businesses do.
