Neighborhood info
Hiriketiya 'Horseshoe Bay' or 'Blue Beach' as it is locally known is a pristine hidden bay regarded as one of Sri Lanka's last secret beaches. The beautiful strip of sand that hugs the inside of the bay is surrounded by a variety of shady trees and provides the perfect respite after a morning of sun-bathing.
The beach is one of the only beaches in Sri Lanka which provides for surfers and bathers alike. With 2 different surfing options, beach break longboard/beginner waves and a faster reef point break.
A couple of beach cafes also allow you to get amongst the 'beach-vibe'.
