The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s young cricketers. This 11-suite boutique hotel has since gained an impeccable reputation for the highest levels of service, along with many accolades from the ‘Asia Pacific Heritage Award of Destination’ by UNESCO to being awarded ‘Leading Boutique Hotel in Sri Lanka’ by the World Travel Awards for three consecutive years.
