Situated on a promontory of 26 acres of land at the base of a wooded hillside, the Hill Club looks over the town of Nuwara Eliya and consists of 44 cozily appointed bedrooms with hot/cold water, each equipped with television and telephone facility , including two suites on the upper floor and three family rooms in the Chalet; a large reading room, mixed lounge, casual bar, mixed bar, casual dining room, billiard room equipped with 2 full sized tables, main dining hall serving eastern and western cuisine, and A'la Carte. Room service, laundry, car rental, IDD, Internet and e mail facilities in all rooms and public areas are available. The Hill Club boasts of four of the finest clay courts in the Island and in the days gone by, it was a venue for the Ceylon Tennis Nationals. The Courts are of first-class condition. The Annual Ranking Tennis tournament is also conducted annually in the month of April at the Hill Club. At present, the Club stands proud as it serves an exclusive membership of around 750, both foreign and local.
