Welcome to our ‘old’ new home at the heart of the scenic Kaunas Old Town. Perfectly placed in one of the oldest and most protected buildings in the city, our 55 m2 apartment has recently been renovated to ‘Passivhaus Standards’. So, you can enjoy a quiet, warm, cozy, and welcoming home all year round, where even the curtains clean the air! The bright and spacious open-plan layout, high ceilings, tall west-facing windows, and balcony bring you an abundance of space and light. Not to mention some gorgeous sunset views over the clay-tiled roofs of the iconic old town. You are literally a stone’s throw away from the pulsating old town High Street (Vilnius street or ‘Vilnius gatve’) - which is full of cafes, bars, restaurants, and shops. But because the apartment is tucked away behind the thick walls of the front façade, it’s brilliantly quiet and secluded.

Hello! My name is Kristina. Originally from Lithuania, but for the last 16 years I live in London and work in Advertising, as well as run an online fashion boutique (Kristina Goes West), representing various young & established demi-couture designers from the Nordic-Baltic region and designing my own range of handbags and restoring antique / vintage jewellery. Six years ago, together with my husband, we bought this apartment in the heart of Kaunas with an aim to have a home away from home when visiting my family, and also open it up to other guest so that they could stay in a cosy and calming environment while visiting Lithuania. It took us two years to rebuild this place from a bare brick and bring it from the past into the modern days. Small rooms were merged into a spacious 35m2 open living space, bathroom - recreated from a scratch, walls insulated from elements and noise, external hallway stripped off plaster to expose beautiful red brick walls. The Nordic interior colours and styles were chosen to calm guest down and help them to wind-down after a busy day exploring the city or working, as well as showing how Lithuania's lifestyle and aesthetics are closely interconnected with our Nordic neighbours. It still has its old elements (like the main entrance doors and hallway) to take our guest through this journey from the past into the present. We hope our home will become your home away from home during the stay and one day we will see you returning back again with a big smile. Just as we do every time our feet touch the ground in Kaunas.

Location. Location. Location. Whether you are staying for pleasure or doing business in the centre of Kaunas, you will easily reach all key destinations on foot. It’s a 5 mins walk to the grand Kaunas Town Hall, 10 mins to Kaunas castle with its wonderful park on the confluence of the two main Lithuanian rivers and a 10 mins walk to the “Champs Elysees” of the Baltics: ‘Laisves Avenue’ with its luxury shops, theaters, and museums. A 30 min walk will take you to the ‘Zalgiris’ sport and concert hall and 35 mins will get you to the biggest shopping and leisure centre in Kaunas - ‘Akropolis’.
