We are located in the area of small dunes just a 15-minute walk from charming, peaceful village M'hamid. This is where the road ends, and the great sands begin. It's a perfect starting point for any further trips deeper in the Sahara, which we are happy to organize.
Desert Camp Chraika is also a superior spot for group retreats. We are happy to host workshops connected with yoga, dance, meditation, couching / self development. We can accommodate up to 20 persons; it is a unique, peaceful space for this kind of events.
We provide accommodation in clay-wooden huts with electricity coming fully from the solar energy. Water comes from our own well. Moroccan breakfast is always included in the price.
Our property has a big hall that serves as a space for group retreats, a communal fireplace and a lounge where one can relax in a shade while enjoying the view to the sand dunes.
周辺エリアの情報
Our camp is located in a beautiful, peaceful nature area. Here one can enjoy walking barefoot into the dunes, watching sunsets and the breathtaking Saharan sky every night.
There are nice walks to do in the area:
- a 15-minute walk to M'hamid village, good for shopping / souvenirs
- a 40-minute walk to the old casbah of M'hamid, a traditional, clay village surrounded by strong walls, with 4 entrances. Although it may looks like a skansen, people still live there. Women cooperatives offer local products and handicraft.
- a one hour walk to the beautiful palm grove - the very end of the Draa valley, called the longest oasis in North Africa.
