Salam! My name is Yahia, I am originally from Marrakech. After having travelled quite a bit and after living in New York and Hawaii, I returned with my wife Juliette in Morocco to open a bed and breakfast in the Ourika valley. Both of us have worked in restaurants most of our lives, and we are hoping to offer you the best and warmest hospitality so you will have a memorable souvenir of your stay at our home. We are at your disposal during all the time of your holidays and we will be happy to make you discover this valley that we love so much. Tips for your excursions, we can also accompany you in your hikes, make you discover the paths ignored by the crowds and make you taste to the wonderful specialties of the country, cooked by my wife Juliette, a chef trained in the best restaurants. 3 years ago, having spent all my childhood holidays in the village of Taljerft, and falling under the charm of this unique place, I have decided to build my house, Chez Yahia. I have designed and built it so it blends into the picturesque landscape while respecting the surrounding nature. And above all, I made sure that it was bathed at any hour of the day by the sun, the colors and the magic lights of the valley! Thanks to the inhabitants of Aghbalou, Taljerf and my donkey Williams, my dream was achieved and I invite you today to share my oasis of peace. The bed and breakfast is ideally located; it is closed to all the notorious sites of the region, but far from the tumult that can sometimes invade it in full season. Built with the stones of the traditional region, it has two floors, balconies facing south, two large terraces, a huge patio and large glass windows to admire quietly the spectacle of nature. A well equipped kitchen, a fireplace for the winter evenings, a large bathroom, 3 living rooms, the decoration is simple and rustic without neglecting the comfort.

Perched on a hill, our guest house, Chez Yahia, is located in the heart of the Ourika valley, in the village of Taljerf, in the High Atlas Mountains. In the midst of lush greenery, nestled in the mountains of the Atlas, wrapped by the olive trees, orchards, the forest and the clearings, it is a small paradise, for lovers of nature and serenity. Located at only 48 km from Marrakech, we offer a refuge which allows you to flee, for a day or more, the rough and tumble and the summer heat of red city. If the valley is very appreciated by tourists, we are ideally located, closed to all the point of interests but far from any agitation. Starting point for many hikes in the surrounding mountains of the High Atlas Mountains and perched at the top of the river, the Berber village of Taljerft has been preserved from mass tourism and a traditional mountain way of life still rocks the rhythm of the seasons. It is an ideal place for who seeks freshness, tranquility, space, a change of scenery and experience the real charms of Morocco
