I like receiving people of various cultures and helping them to discover mine. It is always a pleasure to direct them to the beautiful things to be seen in Marrakesh, my native city. It is also a duty to show them things which are necessary to avoid in order to have a happy stay in this magic city. Pre-trip information can be provided before arrival in Marrakech. I lived in France where I studied Biochemistry, in the United States working in research and in the Middle East teaching in the University. I like very much sharing my experiences in the life and the journey. I speak 3 languages : English, French and Arabic. To share moments of relaxation in the rooftop terrace of the Riad having conversations on the history, the civilizations and the religions is a real happiness, especially in a Riad where I grew up.

Dar Tasnime is a charming Riad located within the old city of Marrakech, in the easily accessible quarter of R’mila-Jbel Lakhdar. A superb location and safe neighborhood in the vicinity of the main square Jamâa-el-Fna, shopping areas and other local attractions. Our property has been in the family since 1962 and was recently renovated and decorated with love, passion, and according to local traditions. It took two years for several teams of talented artisans to restore this traditional house using local materials and techniques that have been used for centuries. The refined tints of this authentic moroccan house are in perfect harmony with its arab architecture making it appropriate for a serene and convivial stay. The Riad offers six rooms in the first floor: two standards, three deluxe and one suite around a courtyard with a refreshing fountain. All rooms are equipped with reversible air conditioning and private bathrooms. The dining room and living room are in the ground floor. The roof terrace with exotic plants presents a great view on the old city and Atlas Mountains and is the privileged place for breakfast and relaxation.

The location of the Riad is really central at halfway between Dar-el-Bacha palace and the cyber park: 5 mn walk to the Koutoubia mosque and 7 mn to the main square Jamâa-el-Fna. The Riad’s closeness to both the old Market/Souks (10 mn) and the new town (15 mn) is convenient. Other important sights are in walking distance. The Riad is easy to access on a large and safe road and can be reached by car. A pay parking lot is nearby. Taxi can be taken from the corner of the street or in front of the Riad after reservation. The bus station is at 5 minutes walk from the Riad (by the Koutoubia mosque). Airport transfer (15 mn drive) from and to the Riad can be arranged directly with the Riad as well as other activities.
