Riad Lahboul er et traditionelt marokkansk pensionat, som ligger i udkanten af Meknes Medina i det nordlige Marokko. Der er 3 tagterrasser med panoramaudsigt over Atlasbjergene og medinaen. Bygningen er restaureret i andalusisk stil med håndlavede mosaikker og skulpturelle gips. Samtlige værelser er unikt indrettede og har aircondition samt gratis trådløs internetadgang. Nogle af værelserne har egen terrasse. Riad Lahboul serverer morgenmad hver dag, og Riads familierestaurant serverer traditionelle marokkanske retter ledsaget af myntete. Til middag er der underholdning for lokale musikere og sangere. Riaden tilbyder lufthavnstransport og kan arrangere billeje eller udflugter i lokalområdet.

Moroccan cooking is becoming increasingly well known and popular. At Riad Lahboul, Mouna's cookery courses are very popular and her dishes are now being prepared all over the world! We have a professional standard kitchen and which is ideal for cooking workshops. Come and learn the techniques and ingredients for salads, main courses, desserts, patisseries and the many different types of bread. Mouna will show you how to prepare and then help you prepare some of the dishes under her expert eye. There is a pause for mint team and a trip to the local wood-fired ovens. A tour of the souks and medina is an optional extra. In the evening you will be able to sample your creations. The courses: by the half-day that we can fit into your schedule by the day with a focus on a specific part of Moroccan cooking or by the week as a complete course We can offer package deals with accommodation and board around all the activities we propose. A popular package deal is one where you can try a combination of activities; for example, cooking, dance, trips out and musical evenings etc.

Simon is English and Mouna is French Moroccan. We have been living in Morocco and running the guest house for 10 years. We have 2 children and are a family orientated and family run guest house. We all speak English, French and Arabic. As you can see from the photo we are also musicians and this is a photo of Mouna singing at our New Year's party. We regularly have evenings at the riad with food and music. We aim to give a friendly and personal service and to make sure our guests have the best stay possible in Meknès. We appreciate the complexities of travel and so in general do not ask for pre-payment. However, for certain periods we do ask for it but will let you know at the time of your booking and check whether you are alright with it.

Oplysninger om området

Lahboul used to be the Hispanic quarter during the the French protectorate and still has an Hispanic feel to its architecture. It is a residential area so is relatively calm and quiet and has a great community spirit to it. If you can't find the riad just ask anyone and they will either explain how to get here or show you!
