This apartment was built using traditional techniques including Maltese stone, Maltese style furniture and traditional paint. It is full of natural light and spacious enough (125 square metres) to accommodate up to six people comfortably. This apartment has a large fully equipped kitchen and living room (with wifi, tv and sofa), a main bedroom with double bed and en suite bathroom, another bedroom with a double bed and a third bedroom with two single beds. There is also a bathroom with hot tub and two balconies. One can also use the roof to dry clothes. All this is included in the price. As for electricity and water, the first fifteen euros in electricity units are included in the price. Should you want to consume more, you can put one or two euro coins in the electricity meter. Guests have to pay the environment tax of 0.50 euro cents per person per night up to a maximum of 5 euros per person. This is not included in the price.
Hello my name is Marianne and I take pride in hosting guests in my apartment and also in my village. I started renting this apartment in 2012 and have always tried to improve to make the guests' stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I also like to travel, especially in Europe. My favourite destinations are London, Paris and Pisa.
Żabbar is a traditional village with a local feel. Its oldest parts are full of winding streets reminiscent of the Great Siege of 1565 and the Maltese uprising against the French in 1800. In fact, to this day, French-era cannonballs can be seen in household walls and in the church museum. During the British era many forts and batteries were built, one of which (Rinella battery) contains the famous 100 ton Armstrong Gun. The city is devout to Our Lady of Grace to whom the city church (built in 1641) is dedicated. Ħaż-Żabbar is famous for its village feast on the first Sunday after 8 September, which features a motorcycle pilgrimage, and the two village band clubs. Fifteen minutes away on foot, one finds the Three Cities (Birgu, Senglea and Cospicua) which were built by the Order of Saint John in the 16th and 17th centuries. Valletta, with its fortifications, and the beauty of its Baroque palaces, gardens and churches, is also close (ferry or bus). Also nearby one finds Marsascala (a sea-side village around the small harbor), Marsaxlokk (a traditional fishing village known for its Sunday fishing market) and Pretty Bay (Malta’s largest beach).
