Casamaya was born from the shared dream of Pepe, a Mexican, and Rudy, a Frenchman, who, united by their passion for diving and hospitality, decided to create a space where travelers could feel at home. Although we opened our doors less than a year ago, the idea had been in the works for much longer, and since then we've worked tirelessly to offer an authentic and memorable experience.​ Both of us are certified diving instructors and have our own dive center within the accommodation, allowing our guests to explore Cozumel's underwater wonders with ease. Our team is completed by passionate volunteers who help maintain the warm and welcoming atmosphere that defines us.

Casamaya is located in Colonia Maravillas, a peaceful and authentic neighborhood right in the heart of Cozumel. It’s a quiet, residential area where you’ll experience local island life while still being close to everything. We’re just one block behind the main avenue, making it super easy to get to the airport, ferry terminal, marina, and all the best beaches. Whether you're walking, biking, or grabbing a taxi, you'll have quick access to everything you need. Within a few minutes’ walk, you'll find grocery shops, a convenience store (Oxxo) around the corner, and local street food like tacos, fresh juice, and a legendary rotisserie chicken stand just across the street. Taxis pass by regularly, and for more independence we offer on-site bicycle rentals, and we can arrange scooter or car rentals with delivery directly to the hostel. If you're driving, there's free street parking in front of the house, and we can bring bikes or scooters inside our gated area for extra peace of mind. Staying here gives you the best of both worlds: a calm, laid-back vibe, and quick access to the vibrant life of downtown Cozumel.
