Life is very intense. There is no better place to relax and recharge with the people you love than Mandowa Beach Forest and Cottages. Located 35 kilometers north of Maputo, Mandowa is shielded from the harsh lights and sounds of cities. 4x4 is not necessary to reach our Facilities. However, it is recommended, as this way you will be able to explore Macaneta better. After reaching the Macaneta roundabout and turning towards Mandowa Beach Forest & Cottages, the paved road ends and you will drive for 10 to 15 minutes on a sandy road. We've had several customers with small cars who have also gotten there. If you book our Facilities we will send you an interactive map and instructions for the easiest route with the least deep trails.

Seven beautiful beach units in Macaneta, just 30km north of Maputo. High-class, luxurious design with all the amenities you need for the perfect vacation. Fully serviced self-catering units that are just a short walk to the beach. The units are called "Alamanda", "Buganvília", "Chuva-de-Ouro", "Dália", "Estrelítzia", "Fúcsia" and "Gardénia". They are part of "Mandowa Beach Forest and Cottages," which can be searched and found on the most popular online map/search engine. The perfect place to relax! The Alamanda House sleeps 6 guests with 2 en suite bedrooms and 2 common area mattresses. The Buganvília/Chuva-de-Ouro House sleeps 8 guests with 3 en suite bedrooms and 2 additional mattresses in two of the rooms (one in each). The Dália/Estrelítzia studio can accommodate up to 4 Guests, with 1 double bed and the addition of 2 mattresses. The Fúcsia/Gardénia house can accommodate up to 4 Guests, with 1 double bed and the addition of 2 mattresses. Wifi is available in all units except for the "Dália", "Estrelítzia", "Fúcsia" and "Gardénia" units, but you need to pay for it in each unit. The houses come with a fully functional self-catered kitchen - including an electric/gas stove, electric oven, full-sized refrigerator, eat-in counter, and all the glassware/silverware you need - along with a comfortable veranda, upper deck/balcony, private parking, and yard. There is also a pool, an eating area, a small braii along the pool, and a tennis court - these spaces are accessible and shared amongst all Mandowa Beach Forest & Cottages guests. Guests can access everything within the unit - along with the gorgeous beach, only a six-minute walk. However, the outdoor spaces within the facilities site are shared amongst all Mandowa Beach Forest & Cottages guests.

There are markets on the way to Macaneta and some restaurants near our Facilities. Please bring groceries - your best bet is to shop in Maputo or Matola before arriving. The units include tap water, hot water, and a generator to keep your electricity in service, but we recommend you bring bottled water for your consumption. During your stay, our on-site staff will be available to assist you. If you experience any communication difficulties, please do not hesitate to ask them to call us.
