The apartment has its own entrance and consists of a living room with lounge sofa, a large flatscreen a kitchen and a dining area. In the adjacent bedroom there is a large double bed and a smaller single bed available. The apartment was modernly decorated. In the Bed & Breakfast there is a large collection of older and newer films available. There are also some nice spots to read a good book. The kitchen was designed practically and is fully equipped. The dining area offers space for 4 people. The B&B offers a sleeping place for 3 people, although 4 people is possible, but please discuss this before coming to our B&B. The B&B is part of a residential building and shop that sells wooden toys and decoration gifts. There is also a garden cafe available with an inside and outside area. The B&B is located in a small rustic village. The shop is open all year round and in the cafe you can always drink a nice cup of coffee or tea. In summer you can also enjoy the lovely flower garden.

Both Adrienne and John are former teachers. Adrienne quit her teaching job after having her first child. 2 years later they also got a son. Both of their children have grown up and moved out. In 1995 Adrienne started her own wooden toys shop inside their residential area. John stopped a few years ago as a teacher when focussing more on the B&B and shop. The shop expanded over the years and now also includes a tea garden and cafe. In 2014 the couple started the bed & breakfast. The combination of the shop, tea garden/cafe and the B&B is a unique experience for the guests. They can enjoy their breakfast in the garden cafe and in summer when the garden is open they can also enjoy the lovely flowers, plants and other ornaments in the beautiful garden while enjoying a cup of Italian coffee or tea.

Oostwoud is a small village in the greater area of West Friesland, situated in the North-Holland province. The village is a very nice base for experiencing lovely cycling routes towards other small villages in the nearby area. Small old villages as Medemblik and Hoorn are close-by and as a lover for culture you can enjoy a lot of interesting musea and old buildings. Also as a nature lover you can do a lot. There is a lake very close-by and the beach is only 40 minutes by car. Larger cities as Amsterdam and Alkmaar are also easy to reach in only 30-40 minutes. The highway is only a 10 minute distance and you can go by train from Hoorn city to Amsterdam in only 35 minutes.
