Dear guests, welcome! We are Bas and Katelijne van Otterloo and we have a great extra house next to our own house at the (swimming-)water. Cozy, artistic and fully equipped. We always have a holiday feeling when we are at home on the deck, watching over the water and seeing boats passing by...and hopefully you too! In summer and spring this rustic detached house is a perfect place to stay: you can swim right in front of your door (3 meters!) in natural water, there's a nice boat right next to the house you can rent, step in right away without licence and go explore the beautiful lake and small canals with beautiful flora and fauna or go to the supermarket by boat, or have a bbq in the sheltered, spacious garden! In autumn and winter this house is very nice to stay too: with the cosy fireplace in the sitting area with view on the water and calm environment it's absolutely relaxing. In an artistic atmosphere with piano, impressive soundset, private 'cinema', original paintings from a famous painter and tastful furniture. You can even come here by your own boat and 'park' it right in front of the house! Dogs are welcome, only on ground floor. Feel welcome and see fo yourself! Santé :)

We started as landlords in june 2020, are very familiar with hospitality because of our profession in events, music and mediation. In addition, Bas and Katelijne are always very helpful, so if you need any help with the home-cinema or the sound system or need advise upon restaurants, places to go to by bike, nice terraces or whatever, just text us and we are ready to support your needs. We live next door and are most of the time avaible to help you with any kind of question or request. Welcome! Upon arrival we will show you around and explain everything you need to know, after which you will enjoy this wonderful, special place. Of course we ensure that a bottle of house wine is cold in the fridge! If desired, we can provide your desired groceries so that you can have breakfast and lunch yourself. Boat, 2 SUPs and 2 bicycles are for rent on appointment.

It's a calm and safe environment in a dead-end street. At summer days it can be 'crowded' on the water with people driving by in their boats which is very nice to watch from your own private dock sitting and relaxing in your lounge seat. You can swim in the water too! (private 'swimming pool' :)) The house has a boat with 8hp (8pk) motor which you can rent for a day or more. You don't need a license to drive this boat. It's wonderful to drive in the beautiful nature on the water. Only about 5 minutes by boat. We also have 2 bikes available. There are some nice restaurants in Aalsmeer with terraces at the lake, also to be reached by boat! Beaches of Zandvoort en Bloemendaal are nearby: 20 km. Amsterdam is about 20 minutes by car and 40 minutes by public transport. Leiden, The Hague, Rotterdam can be reached by car or train.
