The house is located in a quiet village surrounded by nature, with direct access to forest trails and stunning views of the fjord and Osterøy island. A scenic road - popular with cyclists - runs nearby, offering peaceful bike rides and access to hidden viewpoints. Guests appreciate the nearby hiking paths and the opportunity to visit Bergen, just a 17-minute train ride plus a 15-minute walk from the station. The area is ideal for kayaking, fishing, or simply enjoying the sunset from the terrace. A small bakery with essentials is located in Trengereid, while larger shops and services can be found in Vaksdal or Indre Arna. The surrounding nature is rich with the fresh scent of wild garlic and summer herbs, especially during evening walks. From May to August, guests can enjoy long, peaceful strolls or active hikes well into the late hours, soaking in the fragrant forests and meadows. This unique sensory experience makes Bluewater Cottage a perfect retreat for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. In winter, the area offers excellent skiing options. The Gullbotn cross-country trails are just 6 minutes away, along with a lovely local sledding hill. For alpine skiing, guests can reach Eikedalen in 30 minutes, Furedalen in 35 minutes, and Voss ski- og tursenter in about one hour - also accessible by train, with a gondola running directly from the station to the mountain. The area has very little artificial lighting, creating dark skies that make it easier to enjoy the northern lights when they appear. The peaceful surroundings and open landscape allow guests to experience magical winter nights right from the terrace or nearby paths.
