Not far away are Hornindalsvatnet, the deepest inland lake in Europe; Ålesund, the city of art nouveau; as well as the Geirangerfjord (UNESCO) and the Trollstigen. Also visit Valldal, "the valley of strawberries," known for its sweet-tasting strawberries and delicious strawberry cakes. Day trips to the bird island Runde and the festival town Molde.
