Our place is surrounded by mountains and beautiful Arctic nature, so you really get that calm, peaceful atmosphere, but it’s still just a short drive from the city. It’s the kind of spot where you can wake up, look out at the mountains, and feel like you’re far away from everything, even though you’re not. Inside, the apartment is bright, modern, and cozy. There are two bedrooms one with a double bed and one with two single beds, plus a sofa bed in the living room for a fifth guest. The layout is open, with the living room and kitchen connected, so everyone can hang out together while cooking or relaxing. The kitchen has everything you need if you like to cook, oven, stove, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, and all the basics for preparing meals. We’ve tried to make it feel like home, so you can easily stay for several days without missing anything. With fast WiFi, a washing machine, a private entrance, and free parking right outside the door. It’s easy to come and go, and the area itself is calm and quiet, with great views in every direction. What really makes this place special is the view and the light. In winter, you can often see the northern lights right from the window or terrace, and in summer, the midnight sun lights up the sky all night long. It’s one of those places where you can just slow down, have a coffee, and enjoy the silence, or head out for a short drive to explore Tromsø and everything around it.

Our apartment is located in Berg, a quiet and scenic area just across the bridge from Tromsø city centre. It’s a peaceful neighbourhood surrounded by mountains and nature, yet it only takes about 10–15 minutes to get downtown by car and 20-25 by bus. One of the best things about the area is how close you are to both nature and city life. You can go for a hike in the mountains right behind the house, enjoy a walk along the fjord, or head into the city for great food and culture. Nearby you’ll find the Arctic Cathedral, one of Tromsø’s most famous landmarks, and the Fjellheisen cable car, which takes you up to the mountain ledge Storsteinen — the perfect place to see the northern lights in winter or the midnight sun in summer. Tromsø city centre has a great selection of restaurants, cafés, and bars — like Emma’s Drommekjokken, Bardus Bistro, or Hildr Gastro Bar — all serving local Arctic flavours and fresh seafood. You can also visit Polaria, the Polar Museum, or simply wander along the waterfront and enjoy the Arctic vibe. It’s an area that’s easy to fall in love with — calm, beautiful, and full of things to discover all year round.
