Our home is tucked away in Myran, a peaceful and less touristy part of Reine – yet you’re just a 2-minute walk from one of the most epic views in all of Lofoten. It’s the best of both worlds: quiet and private, but close to everything you need. The house sits on a small island in the middle of Reinefjorden, surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks and traditional fishing cabins. From the terrace and living room, you’ll enjoy stunning views of Reinebringen, Olstinden, and Festhæltinden – some of the most iconic peaks in the area. There’s even a lovely hiking trail that starts right from the property, leading to a hilltop with 360° fjord views (and a hidden frisbee golf course if you’re feeling playful). Despite the remote feel, it’s only a 5-minute walk to the grocery store and about 10 minutes to one of the best seafood spots in Lofoten – Anitas Seafood. Inside, the house is bright, cosy, and full of personality. Since this is our actual home (not a full-time rental), it’s warm, real, and a little quirky. We only rent it out when we’re away on holiday ourselves, so you’ll be staying in a lived-in, much-loved space that feels more like home than a rental.

We’re Ivar and Radka – a Norwegian–Czech couple living in Reine, where we run a small guiding company called Guide to Lofoten. When we’re not hiking in the mountains or showing guests around the islands, we’re usually off exploring Norway in our campervan – and that’s when we open up our house for other travelers to enjoy. We live in Myran – a quiet corner of Reine that feels a bit off the radar, but it’s actually super central. You’re surrounded by mountains and water, and some of the most photogenic spots in Lofoten are right outside the door. In summer, hiking Reinebringen is basically a must (just be prepared – it’s steep but absolutely worth it). We also recommend taking the Reinefjorden ferry to explore Bunes Beach or one of the small villages across the fjord. Or just stay local – from the house you can walk over to Sakrisøy and Olenilsøy, and soak in the views along the way. You can also just relax – hang out on the terrace, enjoy the peace and quiet, or borrow our frisbee disc and give the local frisbee golf course above the house a try. Yes, it’s real. When it comes to food, there are some great options nearby: Anitas Seafood and Underhuset are both within walking distance. On Hamnøy, you’ll find Gadus, which serves excellent food and is one of the best restaurants in the area. There’s also a solid fish & chips food truck there if you’re after something more casual. Hamnøy is also where you’ll find that famous view – the red cabins under Festhæltinden – which you can also spot right from the house. In Reine, you’ve got Gammelbua and Bringen Café, and if you’ve got a car, Maren Anna in Sørvågen or By the Way Lofoten near Fredvang are both worth the drive.
