Villa Rutli was built in 1870 and is a magnificent villa with ceiling paintings, carvings and stucco. It has large rooms and a ceiling height of over 3 metres. In 2022, the villa was completely renovated with a new pipe system, electrical system and has water-borne heating in all floors. In addition, there are wall-to-wall carpets in the bedrooms. All rooms are connected with a private bathroom. The guest also has access to the laundry room to wash clothes. In addition, the guest has access to the common area on the first floor. On the first floor there are 2 large living rooms, a large kitchen and a library with a pool table. The kitchen is installed with hob, oven, cupboard, microwave, etc. The kitchen also has a lot of kitchen equipment that the guest can use.

The villa is located in a very child-friendly residential area on Nedre Bekkelaget in Oslo. It is a short walk to the sea and marina, with activities such as sailing, paddling, rowing and swimming. From the villa it is only a short drive, cycle ride to all city center facilities, which makes the area a very attractive place to live. There is a separate cycle path from the Villa into the city centre. The cycle path runs along the seafront and is a lovely ride. There is a lot of beautiful nature nearby with nice hiking areas. Bekkelagsbadet, which opened in 2019, is located just before the bridge at Ormøya, only a 4-minute walk from the home, and has become one of the most popular bathing spots in Oslo. The park of approx. 12 acres have a bathing jetty, diving tower, modern toilet facilities, sand volleyball court, ball pit, parkour and food truck and more. You can also swim at Ulvøya, Katten, Ekebergsletta and the Sculpture Park at Ekeberg also provide good recreational opportunities in both summer and winter. Ballsletta is a favorite destination with activities such as a riding centre, mini golf and various other opportunities for the children. There are several sports teams in the local area, including Bækkelaget, YMCA and Nordstrand IF. Service offer Grocery shopping can be done at e.g. Malmøya Landhandel and Joker on Ulvøya.
