The Telemark Camping & Motel is an idyllic, rustic place to spend the night. The campsite consists of 4 hunting cabins ( 2/3 pers) and 4 large cabins (4-5 pers) with streaming water inside. The cabins without streaming water can use the outdoor kitchen. We also have a small shop where you can buy ice cream, cold drinks and small snacks. We have public showers and toilets which are very clean. We have a policy to make the guests at ease; we dont want guests to pay for the showers, use of boats etc. The motelrooms are equipped with shower/bath and toilets. Situated along the road, 200 meters from the campsite. Motelguests can also use the facilities on the campsite. Breakfast and dinner must be reserved.
In june 2021 we, Leon and Debby, were asked by the owner Bjørn Veum Seljevold, to take over the Telemark Camping, Motel & Inn. We did so for three months in the summer of 2021 and we loved it! Because we had steady jobs and a travel company in the Netherlands, we had to think it over for doing it long term. We decided to take the step and started from jan 2022 and from that moment we put all our energy and caring in the project. We will slowly work further on the campsite to make it and keep it a pleasant place for guests to stay. Even if it is for 1 night. We welcome you as our guests on the Telemark Camping!
Activities include: hiking, canoeing, fishing, biking, sightseeing, swimming, cross-country skiing is nearby and downhill skiing is a short distance. Pick mushrooms or berries seasonally. Visit some of the local attractions like the mines at Åmdals verk, the Viking church near Dalen, the runestone in Fyresdal, even a local metalworker who still works in the old ways. Cozy cafes and quaint shops in Fyresdal, Dalen, Kviteseid, are all within a 30 minute drive. Cross-country skiing when available on our property or in Veum (5km). Skiing in Vrådal and Hallbjønnsekken are a short drive away.
