Shivapuri Heights Cottage opened in 2005 and was designed as a place to offer a respite from the ever growing Kathmandu. We offer travellers the opportunity to experience the real Nepal and return home having had a more in-depth contact with the local people and culture than perhaps they might have had if they stayed in a regular hotel. The Nepali and British resident owners look forward to welcoming you and offer you the opportunity to observe and participate in local ceremonies and customs.
Our traditionally designed Cottages, located on the edge of the Shivapuri National Park, are your home-away-from home when visiting Nepal.
Shivapuri Heights Cottages provide an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of the City whilst having the advantage of being only 30 minutes drive plus a 5-10 minute uphill walk away from the city centre.
