Anchor watch is a 3 bedroom ground floor Apartment, recently refreshed with all the home comforts. The lounge and dining rooms have a view of the Whangamata harbour so you can sit and enjoy the view of the boats at anchor while you plan your day’s activities. The kitchen is well appointed with all the appliances you would expect to create a home cooked meal then clean up with ease while watching the tides change. The new bathroom and laundry has a 900x900 shower with fantastic water pressure, private toilet, front load washing machine and a 1200 wide vanity with a large mirror above. The bedrooms are private and comfortable and would easily accommodate 2 couples and 2 children, or 3 couples. On those occasional wet days you can use the free Wi-Fi to connect to your devices. The outdoor dining area has a BBQ and a large table with comfortable seating, all this is undercover so you can wine and dine in comfort on those hot summer days. There is off street parking along the side of the property, plus a carport for easy unloading of the car. The lawn out front is a great recreation area for your use or park the boat. If you love to walk the beach then you are going to love staying here, as you are just steps from having your toes in the sand.

We welcome you to our holiday home in Whangamata. We have owned the apartment for many years and have very fond memories of our children, and now grandchildren enjoying the beaches, surfing and boating that we have done while staying here. The apartment is close to the marina and boat launching area, that if you’re a boatie then you’re going to appreciate the proximity just like we have. The fantastic children’s playground just across the road is a very popular spot for the young ones. We have strong family ties to Whangamata, as my relative Robert Henry Watt owned the first general store, and gum trader back in the early 1800s. The site is on the peninsular at the end of Awarua place called Moana Point reserve. There are many beautiful walks around Whangamata, so if you like to explore, then Wentworth valley is worth a visit, as it has an easy walk to a magnificent waterfall. Anchor Watch has an excellent kitchen, however we love to eat out or do takeaways from time to time, and Whangamata has a lot of excellent restaurants, and fast food shops situated in the town centre on port Road. Whangamata is renowned for its surfing, white sandy beaches, and safe harbour, if you’re looking for a spot to kick off your shoes and relax, while watching the boats in the harbour, then book Anchor watch, and I’m sure you to will be creating lifelong memories with your loved ones too.
