Offering accommodation with free Wi-Fi, Parklands Motorlodge & Holiday Park is located near the popular trout fishing waters of the Tongariro River, in the shadow of the Mt. Pihanga Volcano. The Parklands Motorlodge & Holiday Park offers self-contained one-bedroom apartments with a kitchenette and satellite TV. Wholesome food is served at the popular Parklands' onsite eatery. Guests who catch trout during fishing trips can have it prepared by the in-house chef. Open from 6PM Mon - Sat (excluding public holidays) Activities such as fly fishing, whitewater rafting and scenic flights can all be booked at the front desk. Mt. Ruapehu’s Whakapapa Ski Resort is 35 minutes' drive away. The popular Tongariro Alpine Crossing and the Tokaanu Thermal Pools are only minutes away. The Parklands Motorlodge & Holiday Park is 40 km from central Taupo and the Taupo Airport. Free parking is available. Please note, the Cabins are not self contained, and Guests will need to use the shared bathrooms, and kitchen facilities in camping ground.

Located halfway between Auckland and Wellington, Parklands Motor Lodge in Tūrangi offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, just minutes from the Tongariro River and the gateway to Tongariro National Park. It’s the perfect base for adventure seekers, anglers, families, and work crews, with easy access to the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Mt Ruapehu ski fields, and world-class trout fishing. We offer a range of accommodation to suit every traveler: Air-conditioned studio and larger one-bedroom motel units for modern comfort and convenience. Budget cabins – perfect for families or groups looking for value. Please note: these cabins do not include bathrooms or kitchens and share communal facilities with the camping ground. Guests can enjoy a meal or drink at Riverside Bar & Restaurant, open from 5:30 pm, Monday to Saturday (closed Sundays and public holidays). Bookings are encouraged to ensure the best experience. All rooms are ground level, with ample parking available for trucks, boats, and larger vehicles.
