We have lovingly redeveloped Bell Hill Apartments with the expertise of heritage architect Ian Butcher. We believe ‘the greenest building is one that already exists’, and Bell Hill’s restoration focused on (and continues to focus on) reducing CO2 emissions. Bell Hill now features recycled timbers and fitments from the original structure repurposed as handrails, benchtops, shelving, doors, steps and skirtings. There is New Zealand wool carpet throughout, and the apartments use hydro power. Skylights open up to provide fresh air, and there is direct access outdoors. We endorse the Dunedin UNESCO City of Literature project and we look forward to further collaboration to promote Dunedin as a diverse literary experience. Our apartments are a short stroll to the Octagon and all that it offers. Our favourite cafes, bars and restaurants include Etrusco at The Savoy, Bacchus. the Octagon, and Two Chefs Bistro. Also check out The Corner Shop, The Best Cafe, and Albar. Bell Hill is right in the heart of the CBD, close to retail shopping, supermarkets, beauty and hair salons, theatres, museums and art galleries.
