Paradise in Papa Aroha! An ideal spot to explore all the western side of the Coromandel Peninsula has to offer. The Big Tomato is a well-known and iconic property in Papa Aroha on the Coromandel Peninsula situated 15 minutes from both Coromandel town and Colville - coffee, shopping, activities. Enjoy walking just across the road to an often-unoccupied swimming beach, sit under the pohutakawas and walk the native reserve. Enjoy our kayaks and paddle board. There is plenty of boat parking on site. A campground 200 meters away makes boat launching and fish cleaning easy. Enjoy using everything in the house and pantry as if it is your own home. The large modern open plan 2-bedroom home has quality fittings and furnishings throughout, separate secure garaging, beautiful outdoor courtyard, swing seat, gardens, decks with sea views, several outdoor relaxing and dining areas - 3 outdoor tables and associated numbers of chairs for example, makes this a piece of piece of paradise. Our wonderful property managers can provide a Breakfast Basket or a served Italian dinner on request.
We have developed this property with love and interior/exterior designer flair over nearly 30 years. It started as a holiday home, became our permanent home and is now again our holiday home.
Papa Aroha is halfway between Coromandel and Colville making many activities like local walks, bike hires and the iconic Driving Creek Railway all easily accessible. Northern Coromandel’s stunningly beautiful coastline has many points of interest to explore and an eclectic artistic community to inspire.
