We have stunning views over our garden to Mt Patraich.
Rainbow Ski field entrance is 25 minutes drive from our gate, and St Arnaud and Lake Roititi is an easy 30 minute drive. Blenheim is 40 minutes drive. This is the closest place for groceries and petrol.
We are also a stunning 90 minute drive from Nelson.
We are continuously planting and you are welcome to wander around the land (8 acres). There is a Rose Garden infront of the cottage which is yours to enjoy with some seating areas.
The cottage has a deck and a 4 burner hooded BBQ. There is an underbench fridge, microwave, and a single element induction hob inside.
We CAN NOT GET BROADBAND as we are rural. We do have a cell booster in the cottage which works on the Spark/Skinny network. So if internet is important to you, we are not the place for you. But its worth it!!!

We (Lisa and Mike) moved to Birch Hill Cottage 7 years ago. And we are continuously planting trees and renovating our house.
The Cottage were you’ll be staying is the original Head Shearer’s cottage, and we live in the Main Shearer’s Cottage. Birch Hill Cottage was built in approximately 1910, and we finished fully renovating in November 2017. We are close enough to pop over if you need anything, but far enough away for you to enjoy your privacy.
We do have 2 Pointer dogs on the property, but they are with us most of the time, they are friendly by nature and they should leave you alone.
As we are rural, sometimes there are rural noises.
Birch Hill Cottage is quiet and as we are rural has stunning night views of the stars. So lovely to sit outside and enjoy the quiet.
