Located along a pretty tourist route, you’re just minutes from Waipu Cove Surf Life Saving Beach — rated New Zealand’s second-best surf beach for 2025 — with Waipu township only a few minutes north. A cycleway begins at the main gate for relaxed strolls or scenic runs, and the wider area offers golf courses, the Waipu Caves, Hoppers Marina, boat ramps and fishing charters. Wi-Fi is provided, and level off-street parking is available beside the three boulders. Black Dune is a quiet, stylish and scenic place to unwind and enjoy the best of the Waipu coastline.
