Gold Fever is on its own property with great sea views, a covered patio, large deck and garden area with 4 seating options to enjoy the views.
Your undercover parking area is at the unit by the entry door. There is a lockable storage shed for cycles, fishing gear, etc and cycle washing area.
Gold Fever is of “Studio” unit style. It has a King-size bed with high quality bedding, electric blankets and lots of pillow options. The bathroom has a bath with sliding windows and a private garden view with Nile River photo. Or there is a blind if preferred. The shower has “Rain” and regular style fixtures with gas hot water supply. There is a heater, heated towel rail and toilet is of bidet style. All towels are provided, including swimming ones, as well as shampoo, conditioner, soaps and body-wash supplies.
The kitchen is well supplied with fridge, dishwasher, 2 element hob, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and Barbecue on the patio with both indoor and outdoor dining areas.
The lounge area has 2 large comfortable swivel armchairs and a TV with Freeview Satellite TV channels. You can cast your own Netflix, YouTube, etc to the TV. Some games are also provided. Gold Fever has a heat pump/air conditioner to enable warmth or cooling to suit. There are dimmable lights in both the main room and the bathroom.
There is a laundry area that has a washing machine, tub and clothes drying rack plus laundry liquid, bowl, basket and pegs. So Gold Fever is well set up to enable enjoyable and relaxing stays whether these are long or short.
Within easy walking distances are Constant and Joyce Bays with beach and coastline walks, the Charleston Tavern and Restaurant plus the Underworld Adventures Base and Cafe. The start of the Kawatiri Coastal Trail is at the end of Rotten Row too! Very handy for a cycle ride or an easy grade 1 km walk, through beautiful native forest, to the Award winning Nile River Suspension Bridge.
Owner-Operators, Sarah and Shane, are very passionate about the West Coast. They live on the next property to Gold Fever, will welcome you and are available to share their knowledge of the local and wider areas with you.
Sarah will deliver your breakfast items to you in the evening so that, at a time that suits for you in the morning, you can choose from the selections. There will be a range of cereals, yogurt, fresh seasonal fruits, toast breads, eggs, spreads and juice such as is shown in the photo supplied.
Gold Fever is in the small coastal village of Charleston which was founded as a gold mining town in 1867. Nestled beside the historic goldfields and mines, with a spectacular Paparoa Mountain Range backdrop, Charleston has beautiful River Valleys, Native Forests, Limestone Cliffs and Caves on one side and a stunning coastline with Bays, Beaches and renowned Sunsets on the other.
In the Charleston area there are many walking trails and also swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding places. Attractions on offer in Charleston include the Nile River Rainforest Train, Cave and Glowworm Tours, Horse Trekking, Historic Goldmine Tours and amazing starry nights!
Charleston is on the scenic Coast Road with Punakaiki, the Pancake Rocks and Blowholes just 25 minutes drive South then Cape Foulwind, the Lighthouse and Seal Colony walks just 20 minutes drive North.
Westport is also just 20 minutes drive North, for your other possible purchase and activity needs, and has Supermarkets, Fuel Stations, Shops, Restaurants, Cafes, Galleries, Movie Theatre, Information Centre, Museum, Indoor Pool and Sports Centre.
