Cosy Country Stay started in our caravan back in 2016. A great place for family and friends to stay a night or many more.
The accomodation in the shed we initially used as a sleep-out while building our house. Many dinners and board game nights with friends and family have happened here.
After the house was finished I used the space mostly as a display room for the furniture I refurbish.
Because we enjoyed the cosy space so much, we now would like to share it with you as a guest and make sure you will have a relaxing time during your stay.
Let me try to show you how central Matamata is situated.
As a guest at Cosy Country Stay it won't even take a 10 minute drive to Hobbiton.
Matamata town is just 8 minutes away.
To get to the Wairere Falls will only take 20 minutes. On the way to the Falls there is
Firth Tower Museum to visit or you can play some golf at Matamata's golf course.
The beautiful golf course in Walton is a 15 minute drive.
Blue Spring in Putaruru is a magical walk and is 20 minutes from our place.
Let's not forget to mention there's lots of bike trails and tracks not far from here; Hauraki Rail Trail, Waikato River Trails, Te Awa River Ride.
You can easy spend a few days in Matamata and visit all these places, we really are so central.
Lake Karapiro in Cambridge is only a 25 minutes drive, Tauranga 45 minutes, Rotorua just under an hour and Hamilton Airport 50 minutes.
Having all these places to visit so close, makes Cosy Country Stay a perfect place to spend a couple of nights or more, have a look around in the area and relax at night inside our cosy accomodation or on the patio in summer time. Enjoy!
