Located just a 3 minutes’ drive from Back Beach and Paritutu Rock, the fully self-contained unit offers all the amenities you need plus the opportunity to experience tiny house living. The front deck offers a glimpse of Mt Taranaki on fine days and the little bistro set is perfect to enjoy your morning cuppa or a sundowner. The kitchen offers all the cooking utensils and appliances you need, from a double hotplate, microwave and toaster, to a kettle, milk frother and a Nespresso machine. The dwelling is located at the front end of the property, meaning you don’t have to walk by or through the host’s house which is located a bit further back – meaning you have full privacy. There is free street parking, usually right in front of the property. Woolworths Spotswood and a few takeaway shops are 2km (4 minute drive) away. There are a few quirks that may be a no-go for some people, so I’m stating the below to avoid guest disappointment: * Due to a small hot water tank, shower time is limited to 5 to 7 minutes and it will take around 20 minutes to heat up again. It’s plenty of hot water for a decent shower but you won’t be able to take very long hot showers. * Not suitable for people with mobility problems as there are two steps up to the deck and one additional step into the tiny house * 2 guests maximum - there is literally no space to sleep for additional people. * While not impossible, this unit isn’t ideal for little children (I don’t have additional bedding either) * Strictly NO pets, drugs or parties. * NO smoking inside and doors are to be closed while smoking outside. * While I'm providing a fully functional kitchen, I am asking my guests not to cook foods that leave a lingering food smell, such as curries, fried fish, etc. Please keep the kitchen door and window open while cooking.

The accommodation is located in the suburb of Spotswood, with a very picturesque beach just around the corner. If you're up to the challenge, climb Paritutu Rock and enjoy stunning views of the coastline and the majestic Mt Taranaki. New Plymouth CBD is around 4km / approx. 7 minutes’ drive away. There you can find a great museum, galleries, shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants to suit every taste and budget. The wider Taranaki region offers an abundance of outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing and other water sports.
