The house has Sky TV, Netflix, Disney and Freeview channels at your fingertips, games and entertainment for everyone, a large comfy couch which extends allowing you to put your legs up and relax, lots of fluffy pillows and throws, heat pump/air-conditioning units - you'll be so comfortable you won't want to leave! An open plan space with a large 6 seater dining table, bar stools and beautiful kitchen fully equipped for cooking with modern appliances. A selection of cereals are available for breakfast.

I started hosting in June 2024 and am absolutely loving this. It's been wonderful to speak with and learn that so many people from all over the world are travelling to our beautiful town Matamata with their main intention to visit New Zealand's No.1 Tourist Attraction HOBBITON. I'm originally from Napier, Hawkes Bay. I travelled in my 20's living in Melbourne for 10 years, and moving back to NZ in 2010 choosing Tauranga as home. For the last 6 years I have been living in Matamata with my fiance Rick and our two kids aged 7 and 5 and our little fluff ball dog named Locky :) My job is Master Data Specialist with Health New Zealand, I work remotely and love the flexibility this gives allowing me to spend more quality time with my family. I'm also a singer and have sung professionally in bands for many years prior to having my second child. Rick and I also have an original's band having recently released our debut album - music/singing is my passion. We love living in this beautiful town Matamata, and I know you will also enjoy your time visiting this lovely little town. We are so lucky to have Hobbiton on our back door step, its absolutely the most amazing place to visit, you'll be so pleased to also experience this incredible place. You'll be staying very close by to Hobbition, a short 13min drive away or a quick 5min walk into town to catch the Hobbiton bus at i-site with tours leaving 11am daily. We have an online guest book in multiple languages you will receive a link to when staying, which lists all the features and amenities within the house, as well as local tourist attractions, shopping, cafe's and restaurants close by. This is a beautiful quiet neighbourhood, you'll feel so relaxed the moment you walk through the door. Tui Lane Holiday Home has everything you need to make you feel right at home. Guests love that it is so easy to walk in to town and leave their car safely parked up at the house should they choose to. They also find it very close and easy to get to Hobbiton, with a simple drive following the same road that takes you straight to the Hobbiton turn off. If they decide not to drive to Hobbiton themselves, then they choose to either walk or drive into town with both options being approx 2-5mins to get to i-site where the Hobbiton bus departs daily.
