This 2 bed Guest House is located in beautiful Cooks Beach, close to beach and shops. Relax in this comfortable air conditioned abode with a sunny outside area and beautiful garden views. Our self-contained Guesthouse is attached to, but separate from the owners home, with a private entrance and parking. Careful consideration has been given to quality linen, beds and products throughout. While we are available for urgent matters anytime, we will leave you to enjoy your holiday. Our property is only 7 minutes walk from the beach, and approx 10 mins walk to the local shops including a dairy, bars and restaurants and a hardware store. There are numerous cafes and bars in this area, however you need to check opening hours. During winter months they are often closed or have reduced hours. If you are arriving later in the day please be prepared with some food as nothing may be open, especially from April to November. Our guesthouse is the perfect location for a base to explore the Coromandel's east coast. It has 2 sleeping spaces, but please be aware that one is connected to the lounge with a dividing partition, as shown in the photos. Max number of people is 4, although there is a porta cot if needed. A highchair is also available for use. Cool in summer, warm in winter it is airconditioned for your comfort. Unlimited wifi is available. Eat at home, or eat out. We have all facilities available, including a weber BBQ to cook on outside. Please note it is not a full kitchen, but a plug in oven and plug in hobs. Both work well. Enjoy our outside hot shower to rinse off after a busy day at the beach. You have exclusive use of the guesthouse, and have your own private entrance. Parking for 2 vehicles is available. There is no availability for boat washing, but contact us if you want to discuss bringing any watercraft. The deck area is sunny and a peaceful space to be, with a small grassed area for use as well.

The owners do live on site , but try to ensure as much privacy as possible for our guests and are available if needed. This is a quiet residential area and we request guests to adhere to a quiet time from 10pm to 7am. We rely on tank water only so please be respectful of water usage. Please also be aware you will notice some pump noise when the water runs. There is a rack available for drying washing. We are very happy to help you with your plans while you are here, to ensure you get the best from your stay. We absolutely love this very special area and hope you will too.

Things to do. Enjoy all that Cooks Beach has to offer , beaches, walks, fishing off the beach, the beautiful Purangi Estuary, and local cafes and restaurants. Also in walking distance is Ferry landing which takes you by ferry to Whitianga to explore shopping, art, tourism activities, and eating opportunities. Whitianga also has 2 large supermarkets to stock up on supplies, or there is a small dairy at Cooks Beach. Getting around.. There is no public transport here at Cooks Beach, except the ferry across to Whitianga. So the best idea is to have your own vehicle. Travelling to world renowned beaches of Hahei and Hot water Beach are just a 15 minute drive away. ( we have spades for your use at Hot Water Beach) Slightly further away but easy day trips are Whangamatā and Waihi Beach, or in the opposite direction spectacular Kūaotunu beach ( with the famed Luke's Kitchen restaurant) and Otama and Opito bays. The i site information centre in Whitianga has plenty of information for you and you can pre book any activities through them.
