Your hosts at Headlands are Annette and Steve Cox and Rubi the small freindly dog. We look forward to sharing our amazing property with you. Enjoy the house and property and the short scenic 11 minute drive by following one road and entering Durie Hill to enjoy our beautiful Whanganui City.

Headlands estate is set on a 2 hectare lifestyle block. An easy 15 kilometres, 11 minute drive from the main street of Whanganui and most definitely well worth the journey. Headlands was first established in the late 1800's after John Ruscoe and his wife immigrated from England and began their life in Fordell, Whanganui. They built a beautiful house made of solid heart Rimu. After a fire in 1987 the house was rebuilt and handcrafted to original standards once again with heart Rimu. Enjoy the fire throughout winter and enjoy the picturesque views of the farmland from the kitchen window. Wander through the acre of forest, around the pond, check out the original barn or simply relax on the decking with the views of mount Ruapehu in the distance. With Whanganui City just 11 minutes away you can enjoy one of the many eateries available throughout our fantastic City and return to Headlands for a relaxed, quiet stay.
