Nestled in a young and growing homestead on a lifestyle block, this cosy cottage offers 3 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms plus a study. It has been lovingly renovated in recent years to welcome loved ones from overseas for long or short vacations and is now ready to welcome others as well. The main bedroom overlooks into the fruit orchard while the second bedroom is a roomy single bed room or can be converted to house two single beds (see pictures). A third room can function as a study or easily transformed into a cosy bedroom via the sofa bed. The fully-equipped open kitchen, dining area and a sitting area by the fireplace opens into a deck and spacious front yard. There is a three-quarter sized table tennis table in the garage for some indoor action and family fun. We also have some animals on our property we are happy to introduce you to. Bonnie, our sweet border collie, is usually the first to greet our guests. Encouraged by your attention, she is very likely to bring you a toy or stick to work out your throwing arm or offer her belly to keep your scratching skills up to scratch. She is, however, well trained by all accounts and can be kept out of your way. Please let us know :)

Whether you choose to use this hideaway as a base to explore, just passing through for a day or two, or simply to dwell in the quiet and peaceful for a while, we sincerely hope you can rest and rejuvenate here. Ohoka is small rural village only a short drive away from beaches, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants, shopping and your other needs. The popular Ohoka Farmer's Market runs almost every Friday of the year and comes to life every week then. It is also only about 25mins drive from the Christchurch Airport or Christchurch city and 2 hour-ish to the nearest ski field or hot springs, making it a viable base to explore Canterbury.
