The property is the middle one of three 10 acre blocks and overlooks Taurikura Bay. It is a lifestyle farm-let with grazing sheep, 4 chooks, 2 cats, a small pond with goldfish & a small worm farm. There is a small hothouse and small raised vege garden, potplants around the decks. The property backs on to Mt Manaia nature and kiwi conservation reserve. There is ample parking in front of the house, also for a caravan or mobile home or small boat. The setting is very peaceful and private with beautiful water and mountain views and an abundance of native flora, fauna and birdlife, Directions to the holiday studio : - take ROW at end of the road, to the left of the school - drive straight ahead to the small stockyard, & Mt Manaia Estate sign with arrow and turn left - follow the driveway to where the road forks, turn right, drive past small hothouse to the 3 storey house at the very end - you have arrived at your destination. It is suggested you park at the very end so your vehicle doesnt block the lovely sea/water view from the studio.

Garry and I are a retired couple interested in travel, adventure, meeting people, our lifestyle property and our local community. Garry also enjoys running a local dog agility group every Saturday morning and fishing from his small boat. I also enjoy choir, volunteer work and painting. We both participate in a few local groups. Garry and/or I prefer and endeavour to be home when guests arrive to personally welcome them, provide them with what attractions and activites the area has to offer if they so wish, and ensure they are comfortable.

The property is located in a semi rural/residential scenic and historical coastal area at Whangarei Heads, The popular walking track of Mt Manaia is within walking distance, besides many other scenic walks in the vicinity, as well as a number of lovely bays and beaches to explore and/or fish from. The nearest surf beach, Ocean Beach with life-guard patrol over Summer is about a 15 minute scenic drive to the east coast. Parua Bay Village is a 10 drive toward Whangarei City - it includes a 4 Square Store, 2 cafes, gas station with dive tank refill, hairdresser, liquor store. The Deck Cafe and Take-Outs are merely minutes along the road, as is the local friendly Mt Manaia Club. The Pines Gold Club is about a 15 minute drive toward the city.
