Ngamihi Lodge is sitting high on a peninsula overlooking the beautiful Lake Okareka, one of the prettiest lakes in NewZealand. There are 360 degree views with sundecks wrapped around the lodge. Enjoy the environment Ngamihi Lodge provides inside and out...... peace, tranquility and birdsong, complete with beautiful bush and lake views...... a very special place!
Leigh and Mike have been interior designers owning their own design practises in Auckland and Wellington. They both love the lake environment enjoying boating, walking and looking after their two poodles Ted and Toby. Mike loves to cook so you can enjoy delicious wholesome country food.
Lake Okareaka is one of 4 small lakes surrounding Rotorua which has a village settlement of approximately 600 people increasing in the summer holidays. The Lake is 30m deep and 9.7km in circumference. Boating, fishing and water sports are prevalent on Lake Okareka. There is a beautiful board walk around part of the lake going through native wetlands and showcasing wonderful birdlife. Some of the most beautiful forests in the lake country are in this reserve.
