The restoration of Olivers Restaurant and the opening of the café, bar and brewery within the historic walls of one of Otago’s most notable buildings was completed in Autumn 2015. The iconic landmark, originally named the Victoria Store, was built of local schist stone and provided provisions to the goldminers that came to Central to seek their fortune. The complex now includes Olivers Restaurant, a café-bakery-delicatessen called the Merchant of Clyde, and the Victoria Store Brewery. We strongly recommend making a reservation for dinner at the restaurant.
