Bruntwood Cottage sits amongst the beautiful native bush gully we are restoring, providing a stylish and peaceful haven to relax in. The cottage has been recently stylishly renovated, with high quality linens, a comfortable bed and powerful shower. It is across the driveway from our house but fully self-contained, with a private covered balcony with Weber barbecue overlooking the landscaped gully and ponds. There is a bedroom with a very comfortable Queen bed and built in wardrobe, bathroom, dining area with kitchenette and a large lounge with 2 sofas, one of which folds out into a double bed. There is also an additional folding bed available. The lounge has a 60” Smart TV and there is a fast Wi-Fi connection (fibre). The kitchenette is equipped with an induction hob, microwave, electric fry pan, fridge, sink and washing machine. Quality linen and towels and continental breakfast provisions (cereal, toast, spreads, yoghurt and croissants) are provided. Enjoy exploring the tracks through our 4 acre property, relax on the covered balcony admiring the view over the ponds, or check out the network of predator control traps. The cottage is conveniently located equidistant from Hamilton city and the pretty market town of Cambridge, close to Lake Karapiro and only 6km from Hamilton Airport and Mystery Creek. There is plenty of secure parking available with room for a trailer or boat.

John and I are originally from the UK and enjoy welcoming guests to our beautiful bush haven. Our 12 year old son enjoys meeting the many nationalities who visit and showing guests the tracks around the gully and ponds. The ducks also love having more guests to feed them and will definitely come and visit!

Hobbiton is a 30 minute drive away and you can be in the Waitomo Caves in an hour. Hamilton Gardens (8km) and Mystery Creek (5km) are close by, Cambridge (9km) is ideal for a relaxing brunch or explore Hamilton city and the museum (11km). Lake Karapiro (17km) hosts rowing regattas and is on the Hamilton cycle path which runs through Tamahere and is a pleasant bike from the cottage.
